Working for Dr Amit Kohn on the materials characterisation of advanced magnetic random access memory. You will research the effects of microstructure on the magnetic and electrical transport properties of the developed device and will be in the Magnetic Materials Group, which is part of the Microscopy and Microanalysis group. more »

Experimental project in the research group of Professor Christopher Foot in the Sub-Department of Atomic and Laser Physics. The project involves developing techniques used for direct quantum simulation using cold atoms in optical lattices, in particular using rotating two-dimensional lattices to create ‘artificial’ magnetic fields.The work is supported by the UK Engineering and Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC) through the EuroQUAM programme Duration - 12 months in the first instance. more »
