The MentorNet One-on-One Mentoring Programs are a chance to make a big difference in the life of a student in as little as 20 minutes a week.
MentorNet seeks science and engineering professionals in industry and government, either currently active, on leave, or retired, to mentor engineering and science community college, undergraduate, and graduate students, particularly women and underrepresented minorities, who are interested in pursuing a professional future in the fields of engineering and science.
MentorNet also seeks tenured faculty members to mentor graduate students, postdocs and untenured faculty pursuing faculty careers. more »

TRANS-NET brings together 12 leading European Research groups to study “Identification of genomic and biological markers as predictive/diagnostic/therapeutic tools for use in allogeneic stem cell transplantation: Translational research towards individualised patient medicine”. The training network is primarily targeting researchers at the beginning of their scientific career with 0-4 years of research experience (which may include an MSc degree or equivalent) and experienced researchers with 4-10 years of experience (post-doc). The recruited fellows will benefit from practical and theoretical training offered by the Partners. Additionally, all Partners of the network are offering local training programmes/workshops. more »

industry, educational institutions and women to help learn about
emerging directions and career opportunities in this exciting area of
ITEC.

Applicants are sought for a fully funded EPSRC PhD studentship in collaboration between the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering and The Bartlett school of Graduate Studies at UCL.
The interdisciplinary nature of the project should suit students from a wide range of numerate backgrounds, (eg atmospheric sciences, chemical, bio-chemical, mechanical or civil engineering, environmental engineering, applied mathematics, physics), who are passionate about applying their research to the human environment.
