EuroSciCon announces the launch of a long awaited auction site for life scientists, http://www.lifescienceauctions.com .  Just like ebay but representing the niche market of Life Science, you can auction your own items and place bids on items posted. Categories range from science equipment, reagents, books to clothing. The advantage of this site is that the basic listing of any item is free of charge

'This site is easy to browse in between experiments' said Dr. Shara Cohen, EuroSciCon Managing Director. 'There are some great items for sale and it is ideal way of selling unwanted things to fellow scientists'.

The seller can set a minimum starting price and a reserve price for the item.  There is also an option to set a 'buy now' price which invites buyers to purchase immediately. If required there is the facility to upgrade an ad, for example by giving the item a prime position or making titles bold in the listings. Members can then place their bids. Bidders are notified when they are outbid in order to allow them to offer a higher bid.  If the auction closes above reserve, the seller and highest bidder are notified of each other's e-mail addresses so that payment and delivery can be arranged.  It's easy!

Registration is FREE - just go tohttp://www.lifescienceauctions.com .
