Equalitec career workshop: e-Security - Tuesday 3rd July 2007, London

The workshop continues a series of events organised as part of the
Equalitec project to promote ITEC careers to women. It brings together
industry, educational institutions and women to help learn about
emerging directions and career opportunities in this exciting area of
ITEC.

Who should attend?
You should attend if you are a woman and:
1. Have a science, engineering or technology background and are on a
career break, expecting to return to work in the near future
2. Want to pursue a career in ITEC
3. Are a BCS member in need of career re-orientation
4. Are currently looking for new career opportunities
5. Are currently working in the e-security field
6. Are a student exploring your career options

How to Register
To book please email events@equalitec.org.uk. There is no charge for
this workshop.
Places are limited, and early bookings are advisable.
Important Note: Travel Expenses
If you are a woman returning to a career in ITEC you may be eligible
for
travel expenses. Please mention this when booking your attendance. You
will need to provide evidence of the expense incurred.

Welcome to Mums in Science

This site has been designed as a portal for busy mums who work or have worked in science.

Too many women leave science due to the constraints of motherhood. Some struggle, and work part time, at the expense of advancing their career. Others change their career to fit in with their children, whilst working within some area of science.

Our aims are :-

  • to create a community to provide mutual support,
  • to provide information to those who have the challenge of bringing up children and maintaining a career in science, whether full or part time, or outside mainstream science.

This site is updated regularly with new articles and occasional special offers. Everything is accessible on the site. However, if you would like to receive notices of new additions to the site you can subscribe to the site and receive e-mails as soon as a new article is posted to your selected categories or to all the site.
