BBC News is running the Ivan Noble Bursary again. This is a six-month contract available for an inexperienced science writer to come and work in our online team.
Age is not an issue, but the post is aimed at someone who, in journalistic terms, is somewhat raw. Candidates are expected to be able to show a commitment to science writing/communication - obviously. They will also have been educated to degree level in a science subject.
The applications process closes on Sunday. The initial trawl will produce a longlist who'll be asked to demonstrate their skills; and from there, we'll take about eight for interview.
